Psalm 32

Click here to read today’s passage on Bible Gateway

Why is the source of true happiness? What is the reward of trusting the Lord?

Do I rejoice that my sins are forgiven? Do I acknowledge my sin and need for forgiveness before God? Do I trust in Him and bask in His faithful love?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Blessed God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, I am so happy that You forgave my transgression and covered my sin! Thank You that because of Christ You don’t charge me with my sin! Keep my spirit from deceit, and help me to acknowledge my sin before You instead of trying to conceal it. For You are my hiding place; You protect me from trouble and surround me with joyful shouts of deliverance and faithful love. I thank You in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Pat & Hannah Kelley
  • Fred & Shirley Leonard
  • Mark & Michelle Morgan (Cody, Kyle)
  • Michael & Jenn Morgan

  • Christian Pro-Life Ministries in Idaho (Idaho Chooses Life, Stanton Health Care, etc)

  • That we will devote ourselves to prayer, individually, in small groups, and as a church.

Community: Pray for the relationship between generations–parents, children, grandparents

  • That the true Christian faith of older generation would be clearly communicated and passed down to children
  • That saved children in unsaved families would clearly exhibit and communicate the faith to their parents and grandparents
  • A harvest of souls of all ages
  • Good, nurturing relationships

He has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit produces life. – 2 Corinthians 3:6 (HCSB)
