Observation
The New Testament tells us that all who are in Christ are the true Israel (Zion). In light of that, to whom do you think verses 5 and 6 are referring?
Application
Have I been “born in Zion”? At the end of time, will God include me in His people?
Prayer
Dear Father, Thank You that You establish Your people and no one can “un-establish” them! Thank You that all who are in Christ are Yours forevermore! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:
- B – BODY (physical health)
- L – Labor (their job or school)
- E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
- S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
- S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)
Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.
- Moy & Janeth Ortiz
- Doug & Pam Patchin
- Jared & Amanda Patchin (Alex, Luc)
- Travis & Consuela Sauer (Mikayla, Christian, Donte, Cheyenne, Sera, Ella, Thomas)
Ministry:
- Boise Rescue Mission
CLF:
- That we will be people who are devoted to giving to the Lord’s work and to anyone who has a need.
Community: Pray for your neighbors…
- That God would provide opportunities for you to minister to them
- That unbelievers would receive Christ as Savior and Lord
- For their marriages / family relationships
- For their finances / employment
- Any specific needs of which you’re aware
MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
So the one who boasts must boast in the Lord. For it is not the one commending himself who is approved, but the one the Lord commends. – 2 Corinthians 10:17-18 (HCSB)
