Observation
How is the mood of this psalm by Asaph different from the several that precede it? What does he call the people to do (1-3)?
Application
Do I sing for joy to God, shout aloud to Him, and celebrate Him?
Prayer
Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father, You alone are my strength and I sing for joy to You! I shout aloud to You, God of Jacob! I praise You with music and with my voice and my emotions, for You are my Great Deliverer and everlasting all-powerful God! Thank You for Your many, many blessings. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:
- B – BODY (physical health)
- L – Labor (their job or school)
- E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
- S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
- S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)
Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.
- Moy & Janeth Ortiz
- Doug & Pam Patchin
- Jared & Amanda Patchin (Alex, Luc)
- Travis & Consuela Sauer (Mikayla, Christian, Donte, Cheyenne, Sera, Ella, Thomas)

MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
For though we live in the body, we do not wage war in an unspiritual way, since the weapons of our warfare are not worldly, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments and every high-minded thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to obey Christ. – 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (HCSB)
