How does the interaction between Naomi, Ruth, and Boaz reflect God’s love?

In what ways do I need to focus on actively showing God’s love to others?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Lord Jesus, Help me to remain in Your love by following Your commands to love You and to love Your people as You loved me. I ask that by Your Holy Spirit You would reveal to me ways to show Your love to my brothers and sisters in Christ, and to the lost people that You have placed in my life. I pray this in the Name of Jesus, Amen!

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.

  • Dustin and Amy Barton
  • Debbie Brueggemann
  • Michelle Caldwell
  • Kathi Carr
  • Loran “Bud” Clark

  • Compassion International

  • That we will be devoted to evangelism and growth; that the Lord will add to our numbers those who are being saved.

Community: Pray for the poor & imprisoned

  • Salvation
  • That they will trust in God’s provision
  • For sound financial management by city officials
  • That they will have hope
  • For godly mentors in the prison/jail system

Question #32: What do justification and sanctification mean?

Children’s Answer: Justification means our declared righteousness before God. Sanctification means our gradual, growing righteousness.

Adult’s Answer: Justification means our declared righteousness before God, made possible by Christ’s death and resurrection for us. Sanctification means our gradual, growing righteousness, made possible by the Spirit’s work in us.

Memory Verse

1 Corinthians 6:11 (HCSB)

You were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
