Leviticus 3

Observation

How does the peace offering (also called the fellowship offering) point to Christ? (Romans 5:1, Ephesians 2:14, 1 John 1:3)

Application

Do I live in hostility with God and others or try to earn peace through my own efforts, rather than trusting and resting in the peace and fellowship I should be enjoying with God and His people through the complete sacrifice of Jesus Christ?

Prayer

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father in Heaven, Thank You for the peace that is mine in Jesus Christ! Because of Him and Him alone, I am no longer Your enemy but Your friend, heir and child! Thank You that I can have fellowship with You and Your people because of the peace Christ that surpasses all understanding. In His name I pray, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.

  • Michael & Jenn Morgan (Eleanor)
  • Moy & Janeth Ortiz (Anabelle)
  • Doug & Pam Patchin
  • Travis & Consuela Sauer (Mikayla, Christian, Donte, Cheyenne, Sera, Ella, Thomas)
  • Janet Sonnenberg

Ministry:

  • Boise Rescue Mission

CLF:

  • That we will be people who are devoted to giving to the Lord’s work and to anyone who has a need.

Community: Pray for the elderly…

  • That they will be treated respectfully
  • That they will not dwell on mistakes and regret
  • That God will provide for their health and finances
  • That God will protect them from those who would try to harm them
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • Any broken family relationships restored before they pass on

Operation Christmas Child:

  • Pray for the collection and processing of shoe boxes as we anticipate sharing the love of Jesus Christ with multitudes of children across the world.
