Leviticus 10

Click here to read today’s passage on Bible Gateway

For what reason did God judge Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu (1-3)? Why did Aaron and his other sons abstain from partaking of their allowed portion of the sin offering (16-20)?

Do I sometimes commit the sin of presumption in my worship of and relationship with God–giving Him what I think is best rather than what He has specifically instructed? Do I allow for others to mourn and follow God’s leading in the midst of their mourning, without trying to enforce on them my idea of what they ought to be doing?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father in Heaven, Give me the wisdom and grace to worship You in the way You desire, rather than in the way I desire. Help to extend that grace when others are in the midst of trials and sorrow, allowing You to work in them and them to follow You. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.

  • Michael & Jenn Morgan (Eleanor)
  • Moy & Janeth Ortiz (Anabelle)
  • Doug & Pam Patchin
  • Travis & Consuela Sauer (Mikayla, Christian, Donte, Cheyenne, Sera, Ella, Thomas)
  • Janet Sonnenberg
