Why did Nadab and Abihu die? Why were the Levites set apart? How does the New Testament covenant differ from the old one in regard to priests (see 1 peter 2:5,9)?

Do I sometimes act presumptuously, under the delusion that I know what’s best in spite of what God says? Do I live a life set apart to God as one of His children and a member of His royal priesthood?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father in Heaven, Keep me from sins of presumption, thinking I know how best to serve and worship You. Instead, may I humbly follow Your will and Your Word in Your Spirit. Help me to remember that I am Your child and Your priest, and strengthen me to live as such. In Jesus’ name I ask this, Amen!

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Roger & Andrea Gabel; Tom
  • Steve & Gloria Gangwer
  • George Gifford
  • Scott & Kristi Guinn (Josiah)
  • Mike & Jamie Haberkorn (Hannah, Sean)

  • J & G Simon, missionaries to Greece

  • Ask that we would be a church that is devoted to true fellowship: Pray that we would be encouraged from being united with Christ, comforted by His love, bonded with His Spirit, tender and compassionate with one another. Pray that we would be like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Ask that we would do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider one another better than ourselves, looking not only to our own interests, but also to the interests of each other. Pray that we would all have the same attitude as that of Christ Jesus.

Community: Pray for your neighbors…

  • That God would provide opportunities for you to minister to them
  • That unbelievers would receive Christ as Savior and Lord
  • For their marriages / family relationships
  • For their finances / employment
  • Any specific needs of which you’re aware

Operation Christmas Child:

  • Pray that the boxes will open doors for children to hear the Good News in parts of the world that are typically closed to proclaiming the Gospel.
