What did Jesus instruct His disciples to ask of God? For what did He tell them to rejoice?

Do I regularly pray for God to send workers to the harvest field? Do I rejoice that my name is written in heaven, or am I more concerned with what I can or cannot do?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Lord, I want to follow Jesus’ instruction, so I am asking You to send workers to Your harvest field, that many souls will be saved. May the eyes of the lost be open, and may they receive rather than reject Your grace. Grant that I would ever rejoice that my name is written in the Book of Life in Heaven, and not concern myself with what gifts or what authority I do or do not have. I thank You that You have already overcome all the power of the enemy and I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what You were pleased to do. Thank You for making the Son known to us so that we could know You. Help me to love You with all my heart, soul, strength, and mind, and to love my neighbor as myself. May I show mercy, even as it has been shown to me. I ask that You would keep me from worrying about many things and focus on the one thing that is needed, my relationship with You, out of which every good thing flows. I ask these things in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Dakota “Koty” & Kayla Molner
  • Corey & Sheryl Morasch
  • Cody Morgan
  • Kyle Morgan
  • Mark & Michelle Morgan

  • Christian Pro-Life Ministries in Idaho (Idaho Chooses Life, Stanton Health Care, etc)

  • That we will devote ourselves to prayer, individually, in small groups, and as a church.

Community: Pray for our national leaders

  • God’s anointing on them and a desire in them to follow Him
  • For the president and cabinet to seek after God
  • For judges to rule justly and righteously
  • For senators & representatives to pass godly legislation and block sinful bills
  • That our government would protect its citizens and punish evildoers

Operation Christmas Child:

  • Pray for God to provide the wisdom, resources, and volunteers needed to oversee this expanding global outreach to children.
