Hosea 3-4

Click here to read today’s passage on Bible Gateway

What does God tell Hosea to do in chapter 3 to illustrate what He does for His people? Why is God so upset with Israel (4:1-2, 12-16)? What specifically does He mention regarding the priests (4:4-9)?

Do I live as if I do not belong to God? Have I rejected or ignored the knowledge and instruction of His Word?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Heavenly Father, while I will still sometimes sin as long as I am in this body on this earth, may I never revel in my sin and make it my lifestyle and my god. May I never ignore or treat lightly the knowledge of Your Word. Holy Spirit, lead me and empower me to follow, that I may glorify Christ with my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Moy & Janeth Ortiz (Anabelle)
  • Doug & Pam Patchin
  • Martin & Patricia Regueiro
  • Daryl & Joyce Roech & family
  • Chris & DeAnn Smith (Sasha, Noah, Gavin, Natalie
  • Ross Stoltey

  • Boise Rescue Mission

  • That we will be people who are devoted to giving to the Lord’s work and to anyone who has a need.
