Observation
How should God’s people respond to His discipline? What does God desire from them (6)?
Application
Do I return to God in humble repentance when He disciplines me? Do I strive to know Him better and give Him my loyalty, or do I simply go through the motions of religious practices without my heart really being in it?
Prayer
Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father in Heaven, First, I ask that I would live in such a way as to not require Your discipline. But if I should stumble and You choose to discipline me, may I never respond with anger and resentment toward You, but rather by remembering that You are a Father who disciplines Your children because You love them. Therefore, may I respond in humility, coming to You in repentance with a renewed commitment to know You better and follow You more faithfully. I pray this in Jesus’ Name, Amen
Pray to BLESS!

- B – BODY (physical health)
- L – Labor (their job or school)
- E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
- S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
- S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)
