Ezekiel 34

Click here to read today’s passage on Bible Gateway

Summarized Bible: Those will have a great deal to answer for in the day of judgment who took upon them the care of souls as under-shepherds, yet never took any care of them. Happy are they who know Christ, the Good Shepherd, being fed in His pastures and blessed with all spiritual blessings in Him.

Summarized Bible: Jesus is coming as the Great Shepherd (Heb 13:20) to gather His people and make a final covenant of peace with Israel. He is the “plant of renown,” far above all principalities and might and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but that which is to come.

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Father God, Help me in any area of my life where I am a leader to be careful to follow You myself and then encourage others to walk in Yur ways, also. Give me discernment to recognize when someone who has been given a position of leadership over me is being a false shepherd, wisdom in how to go about confronting that person, and the courage to do so. Mny I never place any human under-shepherd in a place where only Christ Jesus belongs, In His Name, Amen!
Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Moy & Janeth Ortiz (Anabelle)
  • Doug & Pam Patchin
  • Martin & Patricia Regueiro
  • Daryl & Joyce Roech & family
  • Chris & DeAnn Smith (Sasha, Noah, Gavin, Natalie
  • Ross Stoltey

  • Boise Rescue Mission

  • That we will be people who are devoted to giving to the Lord’s work and to anyone who has a need.
