Daniel 2

Click here to read today’s passage on Bible Gateway

What happened when the king ordered the pagan mediums and priests to tell him what he dreamed and what it meant? How did Daniel react and what did God do?

The Summarized Bible: The wisest of men are clouded with a veil of flesh which confounds their understanding of divine things. The sacred things belong to the Lord our God, but believers by prayer are let into His mysteries concerning the last days. The kings of earth have no power but what is given them from above, and in due time all earthly kingdoms will be done away and replaced by the eternal kingdom of Christ on earth.

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
My Heavenly Father, Thank You that You know all things and reveal knowledge to whomever You choose whenever you choose. I praise You as the one true God, Almighty and all-knowing, who holds the future and who will one day make all things new. I thank You that You have reserved a place and an inheritance for eternity for Your people! I pray this in the Name of Jesus, Amen!

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Roger & Andrea Gabel; Tom
  • Steve & Gloria Gangwer
  • Doug Gates
  • George Gifford
  • Scott & Kristi Guinn (Josiah)

  • J & G Simon, missionaries to Greece

  • Ask that we would be a church that is devoted to true fellowship: Pray that we would be encouraged from being united with Christ, comforted by His love, bonded with His Spirit, tender and compassionate with one another. Pray that we would be like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Ask that we would do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider one another better than ourselves, looking not only to our own interests, but also to the interests of each other. Pray that we would all have the same attitude as that of Christ Jesus.

Community: Pray for Public Service Professionals (Firefighters, law enforcement, and medical personnel)…

  • Strength to serve well
  • Safety/health
  • Salvation for lost & ministry opportunities for saved
  • Strong family/marriage relationships
  • Strong, God-honoring friendships
