Describe the range of highs and lows Nebuchadnezzar experiences in this chapter.

Do I praise God only for a time after he has done something amazing and then allow myself to drift away from Him and become self-aggrandizing? Or do I keep a more even spiritual keel, worshiping and being thankful regardless of the circumstances?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father in Heaven, I praise You for the miracles and wonders You have done for me, Most high God! How great are Your works! Your kingdom and dominion are eternal. Help to remember that always, and when I begin to become proud and haughty, may I humble myself before You so that You will not need to humble me! Help me to follow the example of Jesus, who humbled Himself to serve others and glorify You. In His Name I pray, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Moy & Janeth Ortiz (Anabelle)
  • Doug & Pam Patchin
  • Martin & Patricia Regueiro
  • Daryl & Joyce Roech & family
  • Chris & DeAnn Smith (Sasha, Noah, Gavin, Natalie
  • Ross Stoltey

  • Boise Rescue Mission

  • That we will be people who are devoted to giving to the Lord’s work and to anyone who has a need.
