Daniel 9

The Summarized Bible: Reduced to calendar years, this 69 weeks of years (Dan 9:2427) is 476 years. The edict to restore Jerusalem was issued 446 B. C. Applying 476 to this point brings us to Christ’s birth and 30 years over, the very time of the cutting off of Messiah by His crucifixion. At the close of the age, the other week of years will be fulfilled in awful tribulation, after which Christ will appear suddenly in the clouds to set up His eternal kingdom.

The Summarized Bible: God’s Word is intended to encourage our prayers, and when we see the day of the performance of His prophecies approaching, we should the more earnestly confess our sins and pray, not only being forward to speak to God, but as forward to hear what He has to say to us.

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
My Heavenly Father, Thank You for the coming Day when prophecy will be fulfilled, Jesus will be revealed, and Your people will be united. In the meantime, help me to live for You, regularly spending time in Your Word and prayer, and sharing the Gospel as your Spirit leads and presents opportunities. I pray this in the Name of Jesus, Amen!

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Roger & Andrea Gabel; Tom
  • Steve & Gloria Gangwer
  • Doug Gates
  • George Gifford
  • Scott & Kristi Guinn (Josiah)

  • J & G Simon, missionaries to Greece

  • Ask that we would be a church that is devoted to true fellowship: Pray that we would be encouraged from being united with Christ, comforted by His love, bonded with His Spirit, tender and compassionate with one another. Pray that we would be like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Ask that we would do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider one another better than ourselves, looking not only to our own interests, but also to the interests of each other. Pray that we would all have the same attitude as that of Christ Jesus.
